Job Title
Hangout.fm Greeter (Full-Time, Remote)
Reports to: Community Operations Lead
Compensation: Up to USD $2,000 per month (independent contractor)
Weekly Hours: Minimum 48 hours — six x 8-hour shifts Monday–Saturday (plus a 5-minute hand-off on each end), plus a 12-hour Sunday shift.
You will meet hundreds of new first-time users per day for an average of <10 minutes each.

Role Overview
Stationed in “My First Hangout,” our always-on welcome room, you’ll greet newcomers, guide their first playlist, answer questions, and keep the energy high so they come back.
What You’ll Do
- Greet & Engage each new user with warmth and a quick tour.
- Onboard: help pick songs, queue tracks, react with emojis, set up avatars.
- Provide Real-Time Help via text and voice; escalate issues when needed.
- Keep the Atmosphere Fun & Inclusive so even shy guests feel comfortable.
- Maintain Room Culture by moderating politely and upholding guidelines.
- Log Feedback & Metrics after every shift.
- Feel free to live-stream your work session on Twitch or YouTube
Must-Have Qualifications
- Fluent English (written & spoken).
- Upbeat, people-loving personality.
- Comfortable, accurate typist able to handle fast-moving chat (please attach test results—see “How to Apply”).
- Quick tech learner; multitasks across chat, voice, and admin tools.
- Reliable, punctual; quiet workspace and solid internet.
Nice-to-Have
- Community moderation, livestream hosting, customer support, or hospitality experience.
- Game live-ops or live-service experience (in-game events, community challenges).
- Already an active, happy Hangout.fm user.
- Passion for discovering and sharing music.
- Familiarity with Discord-style communities.
- You are a streamer or VTuber who already streams regularly for long stretches.
